Aim

Development and expansion of use of cyber technology give us not only benefits in both private and business life, but also great positive and negative impacts on national security and intelligence. Addressing the issues caused by cyber and other emerging technologies reactively is not enough. It is necessary to address the issues proactively, while overviewing the frontline of cyber and other emerging technologies and predicting the potential future impacts caused by these technologies. Public and private partnership will play essential role in these efforts.

In this symposium, Admiral Dennis C. Blair, who is Former U.S Director of National Intelligence and Former Commander in Chief, U.S. Pacific Command, will give a keynote speech on government's challenges in the information age, and intelligence and cyber strategy to address them based on his experience in the U.S.. In the following sessions, Admiral Blair and other prominent speakers from Japanese government and private sectors will share views and discuss Japan's future strategy.
