Presentation Overview

The importance of renewable energy in well accepted at the global level. In this presentation, we will look at the role of Kyoto Mechanisms (Joint implementation and Clean Development Mechanisms) in diffusing the renewable energy technology in BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). China, India and Brazil are recently increasing their presence in the field of renewable energy technology. In addition to the relationship to Kyoto mechanism, the presentation will try to cover the process of technological capability building and emergence of manufacturing sector in China, India, and Brazil.
