In many respects the Israeli economy and society are doing miracles; in many others they do not. Indeed they are doing quite poorly.
This lecture is tailored to present the highly diverging faces of the Israeli performances from a regulatory capitalism perspective. This perspective suggests that market, state, and society are embedded in each other and that the high performance of the Israeli system sit quite comfortably with the poor ones - all given the dualistic and varied structures of the economy, the government and the society in Israel.
The lecture will therefore link social analysis with economic and administrative analysis showing the interaction between the three.
