Outline:
Socio-economic-governance transformation enabled by the use of digital technology is an accelerating global trend which affect both developed and developing countries. The pace of the digital transformation is even faster in developing countries where social challenges and needs are abundant. In many of these countries, digitalization of society is progressing dramatically, and innovative services are being created in both by the public and private sectors. This seminar will provide snapshot of current digitalization efforts in developing countries, showcase some examples of the innovative initiatives, and discuss potential for "reverse innovation" and innovative co-creation between developing and developed countries.
デジタル技術活用による経済・社会・ガバナンスの変革は世界的な潮流であり、特にここ数年その動きが加速している。特にニーズや社会課題が豊富である発展途上国では劇的に社会のデジタル化が進んでおり、革新的なサービスが官民ともに生まれてきている。今セミナーでは,デジタル化の現状、革新的なデジタル・サービスの事例等を紹介し、日本や他の先進国への「リバース・イノベーション」の可能性や共創の可能性について議論する。
